MY PHILOSOPHY
It is my goal to provide children with an environment that nurtures self-esteem, security and a comfortable, loving, home environment, where they can play and learn. Respect towards self, others and the environment are emphasized. Please don't expect my home or your child to be perfectly clean at pickup time.  We do lots of activities that are messy and will do our best to maintain cleanliness and order, but fun and the well being of the children will always take precedence over cleaning.

ABOUT ME
I moved many times in the 1st half of my life thanks to the military and I spent a good portion of my youth growing up in the suburbs of Washington D.C.  I am a mother of three and a grandmother of 2 boys and a beautiful grand daughter; another grandson will be born this summer. I have an A.A.S. in Admin. of Justice, have taken 30 CEU's thru NYU for Postpartum Doula certification (New mom & baby care) . I have had criminal background checks in both, a physical and hold current certifications in Infant CPR, regular CPR & First Aid.

My community service experience includes running a licensed childcare home in Indiana (name changed from Cuddles to Crayons to Tir Na nOg when I moved to Eureka Springs in 2006), being the 1st licensed childcare for mildly-ill and special needs children in WV for 2 years (state changed the rules too often to warrant staying open), being a Nanny in Maryland for 6 years and working as an advocate and foster parent for 5 years of abused and neglected children in Baltimore (CASA). My work experience includes working as a court "runner" and paralegal in training in MD, VA & Washington D.C in the early '80's and serving private process of court documents (including child support) for 12 1/2 years, to being part of a short-term contract thru the National Institute of Health (Cancer Research Division) in North Bethesda, MD in 1997.
